SUPPORTING THE FINANCES AT ST SWITHUN’S

We are funded by the voluntary donations from church members, other residents of Bathford and visitors. This takes the form of collections at services, regular Standing Orders directly into our bank account, specific donations and also bequests. We also have a text giving facility.

REGULAR GIVING:

We encourage Church members to pledge each year how much they plan to give so that we can effectively plan our finances.

Many worshippers choose to do so as part of a Stewardship Scheme. This can be easily done via Standing Order.

If you would like more information about this, please speak to one of the church wardens or Click  here for a stewardship response form and  here for the standing order form. You can do this directly online with your bank.

GIFT AID:

Our income is significantly enhanced by the use Gift Aid, whereby we can claim back the tax paid on donations from UK taxpayers (25p for each £1 received from donors). Gift Aid forms can be downloaded here and can also be obtained from the treasurer.

BEQUESTS:

Recent bequests have allowed projects to go ahead which would have been difficult to fund from regular income. For more information about giving via wills and bequests please contact the treasurer.

DONATIONS TO OTHER CHARITIES:

We aim to support a range of organisations both at home and overseas and allocate 10% of our regular income each year to such mission initiatives. Over the last 12 months our total support has been £8,600.
