St John the Baptist, Batheaston

We are a Eucharistic church. Within the liturgy, word, symbol, gesture and silence - all speak to us. Many of us find beauty, both visual and musical, a pathway to God. St John’s follows the lectionary using Common Worship. We are starting to explore additional forms of Worship, such as Café Church, and service times to better reach our village, beyond that of a Sunday church.

Rev'd Lauretta Wilson is our Vicar. Sarah and Jacquie are our Readers. We look for preaching that will stretch our minds as well as warm our hearts. We have deep ecumenical roots founded in a previous L.E.P., introducing us to both Methodist and Catholic patterns of worship.
